About You
When i worked here, the team and managment was amazing and very supportive, always happy to help. nice bank to work for. Lots of areas to move around and gain experience in other areas, of the business. Fast paced but fun. Everyone was very helpful to me during my time here.
Fun easy going etc. Lots of opptunites internally focus is heavy on quality and efficiency can sometimes leading to stressful meeting however the management is very supportive and the team is always willing to lend a hand hours are very good nogiabale in some cases. This is part of the job I have to accept.
Most staff and customers are friendly and create a warm and enjoyable place to work. Plenty opportunities we're offered to further careers. Although the manager who is no longer there was quite cold and caused me to leave. They always made sure I was making the most of my time there.
I worked one weeks work experience at Santander it was a fun and interesting experience for as I didn’t know the full workload each branch had to cope with. Also it was interesting as I could see how clients made a mortgage and loans and any other sort of financial borrowing.
The Company
Very caring people and wonderful atmosphere, growth opportunity was there. fair work life balance. people make it more workable, good training provided. A typical day at Santander varies based on which department you work in. Normally we would go in check emails for any overnight process changes, then you would log on and take calls from customers. Company has good social aspect, and excellent career progression.
A good place to work. They reward and recognise hard work and respect their employees. They are lean and efficient, Innovative and not overly bureaucratic. Culturally they have a good ethos, they recognise and embrace diversity. They have a good set of recommended behaviours and promote these heavily within the company.
This experience was very enriching for me, I learnt a lot about the typical work day at Santander and the different roles everyone had. I also had some experience on the counter which was fun but hard. Working together as a team is fun, as the management for my branch are really nice and understanding, plus the management are always willing to teach and help you with improving your knowledge within the business
Santander was a great company to work for. They supported me through several different roles and always offered amazing training and development. The culture is very good and they made every attempted to support a good work life balance. I was able to see how people were working hard to meet targets.
It's hard work having to deal with some customers sometimes as they're so rude and insulting at times; however, the nice customers do almost make up for it. If you bond with your team it's amazing seeing them every day and makes the job easier. Only real bad thing is the unrealistic targets they set for bonuses.
I enjoyed my time at Santander. I built up a lot of confidence interacting with the public and progressed my ability to talk about products. This was the start of my professional career and set me up for future jobs. It was an unforgettable experience for me to see this kind of workplace.
