The Role
Interesting, got insight into different parts of the business, workload manageable, environment can be turbulent/uncertain.
Helpful, colleagues tend to look out for each other
Frequent catch-ups, updates on progress, immediate managers care, people higher up the hierarchy less concerned
Some days./weeks of immense stress and pressure, others with barely anything to do.
Given responsibility when asked for it, comes down to how much responsibility one wishes to take on. However, sometimes not trusted with bigger projects (which is understandable)
Great opportunities for upskilling, getting insights into other parts of the business
The Company
Working from home is an option so office was often empty, when full, atmosphere was relatively social/loud, sometimes difficult to focus
Heavily dependent on which part of the business one was working in, I joined at a very turbulent time and was in a very unstable team, oftentimes not clear on objectives, long-term planning impossible
Upskilling is encourages and there are opportunities, however it comes down to how much one wants to expand skillset
