The Role
I really enjoyed my work placement at Enterprise Holdings. Being in the Revenue Management department, I was constantly challenged and pushed to help me achieve the best of my ability alongside enjoying my day to day tasks which were constantly changing. The working environment was extremely nice and I was made to feel welcomed by all other colleagues.
I was made to feel extremely valued by my other colleagues. Many of which I was extremely close to both inside and outside of the workplace. All employees made me feel welcome throughout my internship and I always felt as if I could go to them for support when required.
Both my direct line manager and upper management were available to go to for guidance and support when needed. In the rare event of someone being temporarily too busy to assist, I was always pointed in the right direction to help solve my query. All staff maintain the motto 'our doors are always open' which is very much true.
I was constantly kept busy with changing tasks on a daily basis however I never felt that I was ever too busy. I had a very good balance throughout my placement year. In the rare event of having a very heavy load of work, my colleagues were always there to assist if necessary.
During my placement, I was given the same amount of responsibility as the permanent employees on my team. I was given my own markets to revenue manage and I was regularly given solo tasks with deadlines, gradually increasing in responsibility over my placement. I was even trusted with the responsibility of assisting to train up new employees.
Having used so much of Microsoft Excel over my placement, the amount of skills I developed on this programme will help me in the remainder of my degree and all future roles. Furthermore, I will be able to apply my communication and networking skills to all walks of life. Finally, my time-management skills have increased greatly alongside my attention to detail.
The Company
Working in a very nice and modern workplace, employee morale was very high. I had a very good relationship with my surrounding employees and as a result we had a really good atmosphere in the office. We were always having fun alongside being able to do our jobs as required.
From my training at the start of my placement right up to finishing everything was very organised. I was in contact with my manager prior to starting and had a mapped out training programme set up for me upon starting. I was even introduced to the other interns prior to starting.
I was regularly given and able to attend training courses by both my fellow colleagues and external guests. Upon asking for extra training on networking and internal company programmes I was provided with training programmes almost immediately. I also had a personalised mapped out training course upon the start of my placement.

I plan to return to Enterprise Holdings part time throughout the final year of my university whilst I am not studying. I also have plans to return to Enterprise Holdings upon graduation at the end of my final year at University in the same role after the success of my placement.
The Culture
Yes there was. I regularly was invited to after work drinks and meals both after work and on weekends. With my team we regularly attended external events outside of work and I was even in the Enterprise six a side football team playing once a week. The other interns were also very social!
Enterprise Holdings European Headquarters are located in Egham, Surrey. Being so close to London the cost of living is extremely high. Alongside this, local bars, pubs, shops, and even restaurants as well as ones closer to London were very expensive which at times made socialising in the area fairly expensive.
There was very little nightlife in the Egham area itself despite there being Royal Holloway University close by. However despite this, Egham is surrounded by places such as Richmond, Kingston and Windsor which are all known for having good night life. We regularly commuted to these towns for nights out in the area.
I was encouraged upon joining Enterprise Holdings to join the health and well being society which provided free fitness sessions three times a week. This was alongside multiple other available societies that I could join. I also got involved in the Enterprise six a side football team which provided me with more fitness opportunities outside of work.
