The Role
I absolutely loved working at AstraZeneca, the people you work with and what you achieve whilst working there is amazing. The company definitely promotes growth in your career
Everyone in my team were really supportive! They took the time to listen to my ideas and really consider them.
I was given guidance and feedback on my performance, I was always pushed to perform at my best. At some points I was given more independence which may not have been always helpful but overall allowed me to explore by myself
I was always very busy with project work, sometimes projects from different supervisors overlapped but it was manageable.
I was trusted a lot, after becoming part of the team. I was given quite a lot of responsibility.
I was able to complete part of my degree whilst working there. The work life has definitely changed the way I think which I believe will help how I approach future work in my degree
The Company
Everyone is really positive and friendly, they have a right balance of being able to openly talk about scientific ideas but also it was quite personable so you felt comfortable to be yourself.
It is a large company and supervisors were changed over but generally quite organised
A lot, I was given a lot of feedback to improve.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home

The Culture
Yes there was a large mix of people at different age groups
A little expensive, rent was always above 500 pcm for a small room.
It’s okay, better to go into manchester
Yes there were a lot of socials to go to.
