The Role
The work environment was very enjoyable and the company culture was very good. There was a lot of learning and development opportunities, which made my transition from a student to a employee easier.
I felt that my colleagues valued my contributions to projects and there was a range of teamwork opportunities that I benefited from.
My supervisors were very supportive. I had a very open dialogue with them and we discussed my personal and professional development on a regular basis. This helped me throughout my placement.
I worked on projects so there were periods in time were I was less busy and other times were I had tight deadlines. Thankfully for flexi hours I was able to maintain a work life balance.
In some projects I was able to take the lead, while others I had a very repetitive administrative role, all of which I learnt a lot from.
Throughout my placement I took part in over 100 hours of training and development. As a result my communication and IT skills have improved significantly.
The Company
Friendly and professional. People were always willing to help others on projects.
It was an established placement, however the roles were not as I expected.

The Culture
The placement community was very big (over 40) so we spent a lot of time together and built strong professional and personal connections.
I had to relocate to Newport in South Wales; which has a relatively cheap price of living. However due to the distance I had to spend a lot of money travelling to see my friends and family back in England.
Not my scene, but I would recommend to people who like pop and pubs
There are a lot of extra curricular activities sucha s sports, volunteering and travelling in Wales and with the company.
