The Role
1. Great company spirit 2. Ambitious company goals 3. Fast evolving business 4. Flexible hours 5. Broad business - in terms of scope of operation 6. Large multi-national company that keeps a sense of community 7. Large network of undergraduates 8. Lots of opportunities to get stuck in with projects 9. Full of helpful people 10. Treated just like every other employee
I felt valued just as much as any other member of the team, there is no distinction between undergraduate and normal staff.
Guidance from my manager and other members of staff was always available, but I never felt micro-managed.
Days had there ups and downs, it was often the case that I had to source work, but there was always something to be done.
I was given work that made a significant difference to the company, I felt like I made a real contribution. That being said, I never felt stressed.
I feel that I largely developed my PM skills, organisation & time management skills, and my Excel skills.
The Company
Really really good, everyone was happy and helpful, and was really chatty and friendly.
Very well organised, there was a laptop and a desk waiting for me on my first day.
Highly, i had opportunities to attend a range of courses at Warwickshire college, courtesy of JLR.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Working from home
Healthcare/Dental
Really exciting looking graduate opportunities with an excellent pay and scope for growth.
The Culture
There was a good social scene at JLR, but I was not so involved in it as I was placed at a satillite site where there was only one other undergrad.
Reasonably expensive area (Leamington Spa), but I found a cheap house to live in.
Poor, there weee a host of bars but only two night clubs.
There were a host of activity opportunities that were arranged in an i’undergrad Facebook page.
