The Role
I throughly enjoyed the work I was given at Deloitte. I was given a varied workload so I had full exposure to all tasks I will be doing when I join as an analyst. My teams took the time out to explain all tasks and made sure I understood.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful, they all took the time out to get to know me and make me feel comfortable within the team. They also provided me with excellent feedback.
I was given amazing support in terms of always having someone to ask for help if needed. Also, even the senior members of the teams including directors and partners took time out to talk to me and give me further career advice.
I was fairly busy on a daily basis and the team would ask how busy you were before giving you more work to make sure you didn’t have too much to do. Some days were quieter than others but I had online training to do anyway and just had to ask around if anyone had any work.
I was given a fair bit of responsibility of work to do from the start but I didn’t feel out of my depth as I could always ask questions and my colleagues would review my work and provide feedback.
The knowledge I gained has given me practical application of the theory I am learning in my degree.
The Company
The general atmosphere was very friendly. My teams both had work drinks after work and away days to ensure of team bonding.
It was fairly well set up as I had been assigned a champion to support me on the overall placement with weekly catch ups. Also In each team I had been assigned a buddy to ensure I had work to do and for any support needed on a daily basis.
Deloitte provided us with online training to complete.
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I managed to get offered a position on the graduate scheme!
The Culture
As mentioned before there was after work drinks and an away day. Also there as events put on for interns to meet up during the place. However I would say for Tax interns there was not much on.
All I can say is London Prices
Offices are positioned in the heart of London so it’s a good location
Deloitte have a number of societies that employees can get involved in.
