The Role
Great support from colleagues if you reach out to them for help/advice. Socials held were good and a great chance to hear about other projects get an insight for what they want for the grad interview. Bi weekly team socials where we would go out for meals which was a nice chance to chat outside of work.
Very lateral hierarchy, you'll be working alongside managers/senior managers and during meetings you are asked for you're input. Great chance to listen to conversations happening higher up and create a perspective of managers tasks and you gainer a deeper understanding of how you and your team fit into the project.
I was working with an analyst who gave great guidance on how to carry out tasks. She would schedule in daily meetings where we would discuss meetings minutes and what should be the action points. If I was ever unsure about a task I felt comfortable to approach my direct superior.
As I was working on the beginning stages of a project. Roles were still being handed out and work flow would vary on a daily basis. When there was work to do I was part of it but I spent alot of time conducting my own research to gain an understanding of the client and the project.
I feel as if I couldve taken on more responsibility as after a few weeks I had very good knowledge of the project. A lot of tasks felt repetitive but helpful to the team. Saying this I still feel like I learnt an immense amount about the company and the runnings of a project.
I have gained a deeper understanding of project management and daily team interactions to increase the knowledge database of teams. I have understood how meetings work and documenting such meetings to hold as records. i used all microsoft packages so learnt tips and tricks to creating good presentations and word documents
The Company
Great atmosphere in the office, you feel that you can go up to anyone and have a conversation with them of what their role is, how long they have been at the firm and their future goals. Had good banter with colleagues which made the day go quicker which was nice.
The internship was structured quite well. two analyst run the internship and organise most of the socials which were quite interactive and fun. Once you receive your project, the project team you are assigned manage what your role and daily tasks will be. The team i was with was very welcoming.
My team invested a lot of their time training me up to be able to carry out daily tasks in the office, such as: scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes and creating power points in company format. I was also able to attend training workshops that were available to all employees.

Working from home
The firm rewards hard work which is very appealing. The graduate programme has a rigorous training schedule to get you up to speed and then you are able to go onto your project. If you perform well you are recognised for your work. It very much feels like a meritocracy.
The Culture
So the internship its self had weekly socials that were scattered all over london and involved a lot of drinking. you were able to catch up with other interns and hear about their projects. analyst were also their to give advice of when they were on the internship and drink.
So i commuted from when going to the london office but when working on client site. Travel to the site and accomadation could all be expensed to the firm. You had a limit to abide by but it was very reasonable. you also had a £25 dinner limit that you could spend when working away from your home office (mine being london)
I worked in a small town thus the nightlife was not as good. However my team held biweekly socials where would go out for dinner in local restaurants. It was a great way to chat to other team members in a relaxed setting. however i always felt pressured to go as not going showed a sign that you didnt like the people you were working with.
