The Role
The placement was very insightful and I was involved in numerous projects, I really feel as if I made lifelong friends and got great experience
the environment was very friendly and relaxed, and made me feel at home and comfertable.
My line manager was very helpful in getting me involved in projects and settling in. The HR team was also very supportive and payed great attention to the interns and how they were getting on.
Work load varied depending on the months. SOme motnhs were a lot busier than others, overall i always had something to do which kept me busy.
With time I was given more and more responsibility, i got to conduct interviews/write transcripts and handle media events and guests.
The things I learnt at Nike has helped me immensly develope both on a personal level but also on a proffessional level. Ive developed both technical skills and social/interpersonal skills.
The Company
Very fun and relaxed! a lot of organised activities on a weekly basis which made it feel like a big family. The atmosphere was great and innovative, sparking a lot of creativity and excitement around the people. The relaxed environment prompted creativity and productivity, there was no hierarchical structure, which welcomes anyone.
The placement was very well organised, and the induction weeks (3) was a great way for the interns to settle in and feel comfertable with the work environment. there was three week handover where the old interns were helping the new interns settle in and get faimiliar with the team and work.
Nike definitely invest in their interns and trained them well, ensuring they get to do a wide variety of tasks, giving a wide scope of experience and learnings. it ranged from basic tasks within admin to leading major projects and holding presentations for the different teams. with this wide scope of tasks it improved my understanding for what the job actually entitles.

Working from home
Employment prospects at Nike are very appealing, many interns that have done a great job at Nike have been offered full time jobs once theyve come out of university and graduated. As the environment is so friendly and relaxed it allows people to make great connections and life long friends.
The Culture
The compoany culture sparked a great social environment and everyone were very close, making it even more fun to come in to work! there was always activites organised, whether it was spinning classes and 12 o clock runs, or Christmas parties and thursday pub visits, there was always a way for people to get involved!
As the placement was located in the heart of London, the cost of living was very high. it still allowed people to socialise, as we had good social spaces in the office with a drinks fridge. The local pubs around the office were not too expensive and their was always a way of getting around it.
nightlife was great and such a wide variety of places, since it was London. There was everything from local traditional british pubs to full on night clubs. There was a lot of way for the interns to have fun, both with the office team as well as with friends (social activities and pubs).
There was always sports related activities organised on a weekly basis (spinning, running, yoga on mondays), and friday pub visists as well as xmas parties and end of year parties. Having constant social activities and involvement amongst the team members at the office, it made it almost impossible to not get involved!
