The Role
Good colleagues, learnt a lot, very much enjoyed
Felt valued and trusted to complete work on my own with confidence
Guided support was given at all times, encouraging me to challenge myself and work around any issues I came across
Beginning of the placement- not very busy, once I had my own workload and more idea of 'the next step' i could managed my daily and weekly workload
After the first few months, I got more responsibility within the estimating role which I enjoyed.
Have a greater appreciation of the uni work I have done up to date, and i think my communication has improved greatly
The Company
Great work/life balance, very social members of the office
First month seemed a little unorganised, with no work being prepared for myself. Once I had my own set of projects to do, the placement was seamless.
CSCS card
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Going back to work for them after uni
The Culture
Within the office no social scene amongst placement students, however the office was fairly young, so no particular need
Housing cheap (in the right areas), socialising cheap drinks
Amazing, Leeds
If you look in the right places any thing is an option
