The Role
Very much! Great experience all round
Very open atmosphere, quickly accepted into new teams and lots of team building excercises
There were several people you could turn to depending on the nature of the support you required. You were assigned buddies which were like a mentor.
Depending on the time of the year you could be very busy or not have much to do. As i was studying for my professional qualification at the same time if you weren't too busy you could always do some extra studying, such as pre reading for college. When doing your professional qualification you are solely in college and not working at the same time.
Responsibility was increased over the year, depending on how confident you felt and how capable the management saw you.
As my course is accountancy based i was able to gain an understanding as to how my studies were put into practice in industry.
The Company
Put into social groups and events were organised regularly to get you integrated with the group. Also firm wide events were put on.
Treated like a graduate from day one, this scheme is very well organised and i also got to see the planning side of developing the graduate induction programme.
Investment in time and in putting me through college.
