About You
I really enjoyed the insight as we had interesting talks about the industry throughout Spring Week. My favourite talk was the one about cybersecurity. I did not enjoy some games though, like the Lego game.
Everyone was very nice and inclusive. Questions were encouraged and I felt like the mentors game honest answers to the questions.
The scheme was great for gaining an insight into the industry, as we got assigned mentors each day who we got to follow around to experience their day. We also were allowed to ask any questions on our mind.
I think the insight gained will be valuable for applying for internships and deciding which part of the technology industry is the right one.
The Company
The days were planned out, with enough time for relaxation but also experiencing the company culture.
The atmosphere was very positive and friendly, however, there was a serious undertone. Mentors taking notes during team activities created an assessment centre feeling.
The three day insight helped to develop a better understanding of the banking industry in regards to the technology behind it.
JP Morgan gave a great insight, especially as we got mentors assigned who took us around the different departments.
Following the mentor and having lunch with them gave a good insight.
The content was very valuable. It provided an insight and motivation to apply for an internship or job.
Everything Else
Travels and the hotel were payed for. We were also provided with amazing food.
There were plenty of sessions were we got to engage with people working at JP Morgan and ask questions.
The events were a lot of fun and provided a balance to the seriousness of some sessions. It also allowed to get to know the other people on the programme better.
The mentors explained the activities hosted by JP Morgan that employees could get involved in.
I would highly recommend.
