The Role
Really enjoyed my time with the company I was working with. Gave me a lot of experience and exposure in a short space of time. Glad I took on a summer internship.
I worked in a small close knit team which did a great job at welcoming me on day one. I always felt supported by my colleagues.
My manager was always happy to answer my questions and offer me responsibilities that allowed me to grow my skills.
I always had something to be doing and never felt overburdened with the work load given.
Considering I was not working for a long time, I was surprised with how many responsibilities I was given.
Everything I did had value for myself and the company, I was grateful for the training I was given that will help me when I enter the work place.
The Company
A good balance of professionalism and casual friendliness, I never felt uncomfortable or pressured in any way.
My on boarding process was a little bit unorganised, it took a long time before I had unescorted access to my work place which was very frustrating.
I was given a lot of training opportunities that led to qualifications which will help me later.
I am keen to take part in their graduate scheme.
The Culture
There were no other students/internships at the location I was working at.
I lived at home, but speaking to others, the area was not that great for socialising.
Not really too much going on, it is a little bit rural.
Nothing particularly, again, it is quite a rural area so not really that much going on unless you really went looking for it.
