Insights day Review

The insights day at M&G Investments was a great way to learn more about the company, its culture and investment management in general. I have really enjoyed the trading excersise throughout the day as well as the presentations of senior professionals from the company. I would strongly suggest it to everyone interested in a career in asset management.

The day was planned perfectly - candidates were engaged by very interesting trading exercise and between the rounds of the exercise business speakers presented what it’s like to work for M&G. Support was always available, I got all my questions answered when needed, I feel both guidance and support were great.

I think the information I have learned during the insights event at M&G Investments will help me a lot with my studies going forward. Studying Accounting and Finance and having modules such as investment management, I will be able to apply the practical experience received from the exercise in building my theoretical knowledge.

I think the insight was structured very well - candidates were engaged with a very interactive trading exercise working in teams, and throughout the day there were business speakers presenting the company’s operations, speed networking lunch and graduates panel. I feel the event provides me with a good mix of new knowledge and skills.

The atmoshpere was great, everyone was super helpful, graduates working at M&G Investments helped to learn more about the application process and how best to prepare. People from my trading challenge team were highly intelligent and from different backgrounds, helping to explore how to best perform in such a diverse team.

The insights day really provided me with some useful insights about what work at M&G Investments as a graduate would look like and helped to learn more about the potential career opportunities at asset management division within the company.

The insights day helped to learn more about M&G Investment’s collegial and collaborative culture based on the values of excellence and integrity. I felt the key activaties that helped me to learn more about the culture were speed networking and graduate panel discussion, where everyone was happy to share their experience at the firm.

I think the content of the day truly provided me with better insights of what a career in buyside, specifically investment management, involves. Having a better understanding of that I will be able to make more informed decisions about my career in the future.

This was an insights day, so I think it’s great that companies such as M&G organise these events and do not think that paying for attending would be adequate.

Yes, there was a networking lunch event, that was very helpful to meet many employees of the firm.
