The Role
I loved my placement at Nike. It was an incredible experience.
Working at Nike is like being part of a family. Everybody wants to support you and frequently express how much they value interns.
I was given amazing support and guidance from my managers. They were extremely talented people who were a delight to work for.
I was kept very busy at Nike but I enjoyed this aspect of the role. It was exciting that there was always something going on, and there was never a moment where you were sat twiddling your thumbs.
I was given projects throughout the year to manage, on top of my daily responsibilities.
I believe the skills I learnt at Nike will stay with me for life. Hopefully, one day I'll make it back there!
The Company
The office on the whole, was a very fun and friendly environment to work in. At busy times of the season it was definitely quieter, but it was a good balance.
The internship was extremely well organised. The first week was devoted to 'easing us in' and getting a feel for Nike life, before we shadowed our predecessors for a week. Support and check-ins continued throughout the year, with a big celebration to finish.
As everyone at Nike it extremely busy, development opportunities are sometimes not at the top of the agenda. However, managers would support you in any way they could for development. The whole workforce received accountability training which was useful.

Company Parties/Events
I'd love to work for Nike again, but the team is extremely lean, so they can't create roles for everyone.
The Culture
There was a good social scene amongst interns.
As it is in Soho, central London, it was extremely expensive. However, being in the heart of London is an incredible experience, with the theatre, shopping, and world's best food on your doorstep.
Extremely buzzy, always something going on.
There were loads of social and sporting events to get involved with outside of work.
