    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Adobe really did exceed my expectations both on a professional level but personal level as well. The skills, knowledge and experiences I have taken from this placement have really changed my attitude at university but also my ambitions for my next career within the technology industry. Plus everyone is wonderful!

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Hands down, Adobe really value you as a person and your differences! It has one of the nicest culture environments I have ever worked in. Opportunities I got the experience to embark on which as a normal intern you would not have the experience to do is why I absolutely rate this question a 10.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had different levels of guidance from different manager which was fantastic! I worked closely with colleagues that gave me guidance and whom gave me different types of work to embark on. I cannot thank enough the kindest of people that work at Adobe.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • During my placement, some periods were not so busy therefore I found myself time to learn new skills such as the Adobe Creative Cloud or Marketing solutions however some months were extremely busy with new projects and initiatives to work on I almost never had time to learn outside my role. So as a form of advice network a lot with employees as I found this really benefitted me exploring new opportunities that I would have not had the chance to take had I kept myself to myself.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I had large responsibilities from my manager which I would receive on average twice a month however as mentioned earlier, it pushed my to find more work outside my job description which not only improved my networking skills but provided me with the opportunities I can never forget!

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Doing this placement, really pushed myself out of my comfort zone especially in terms of public speakings which are skills I can absolutely take anyway whether it's in my degree and future career. Learning about digital marketing and gaining an accreditation in the process has really opened my eyes up to the industry and is an area where I hope to focus my final year project on!

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The general atmosphere is very chilled in a good sense. Everyone works hard in the office however they are allowed to be humans and go for a casual game of ping pong! Adobe is not a place you would feel inferior within as everyone is so lovely.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • In this questions defence, I was the first intern for this role and can say that it was not organised very well which cause slight disruption and confusion in the first few weeks. However over time, me essentially setting my own objectives and networking really helped my plan my own internship and gave me the flexibility to go outside my job role which in itself was great.

    2/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • In my experience, Adobe heavily invested in me which when I spoke to other interns in other companies were shocked at what I was able to do as an intern. These experiences and opportunities are why Adobe is fantastic!

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    National Travel

    International Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    Healthcare/Dental

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • From an intern perspective, there aren't any graduate schemes unless you are only interested in sales. So from that view it isn't too great.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Quite minimal, as there aren't many interns and also bare in mind some of us were spread across different offices.

    2/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Old street is really expensive but a cool area to work in! You have so many different types of foods especially with the market and boxpark only a small walk away plus it is such an artistic area that is definitely one to get inspired in. Shame its super expensive...

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Shoreditch hands down has one of the coolest night lifes so its really easy to pop to a quirky bar and if you get bored move to one next door or across the road!

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes there is a lot of charitable work you can get involved in!

    3/5
