The Role
Really loved my placement here at JNB. Everything I did was relevant to my uni course, they gave me training which would enhance my career and were very understanding about the balance between work and uni life.
Everyone I met over the year was really helpful and friendly. I was respected and a member of the team from day one, Never treated any different for being a placement. When ever I wasn't sure of something everyone was always willing to help.
The support I received from my buddy and line manager was great from start to finish. I was given a lot of one on one time and learnt lots from many of the seniors. You always feel supported and guided because when you start you get given a buddy who is with you all the way and helps you with any questions you may have.
Very busy but everyone always made time to make sure I was ok and able to do the work load I was given,
I was given loads of responsibility's but if you are like me and love to learn and not afraid to get stuck in then JN Bentley would be the right place for you. I have friends who was also on a placement year and was just shadowing but at JN Bentley you get to learn how to do the task on site then get left to try it yourself and it improved my skills massively.
The skills I got on my placement I know I will take with me throughout my career and were extremely useful. The training was always something that I no longer will need to get when I leave uni as JN Bentley have already provide me with the tickets to get me started on site.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office and on site was great. You are really made to feel like part on the family.
My placement was really organised from day one.
I was given training both internal and external. I was also given loads of time from my work friends to learn.
Above 25 days holiday
Very appealing as I have seen first hand how JN Bentley treats all the staff and how important everyone is to the business. So I will be defiantly be applying for the graduate rolls after my finally year.
The Culture
Yes the social scene was actual really good for a work environment and even after work it was nice to always be invited to a get together out side of work.
Stayed at home while doing my placement
Don't really get this question.
Yes always things going on and everyone was always invited.
