The Role
As a company Visa is very open and encouraging place to work at. At times I believed I could have had a bigger workload.
The colleagues were really nice to explain things to me and have casual conversations as well. I learned a lot through coffee chats with colleagues.
I could always approach my manager or team for support.
Some days I had a lot of work and meetings, others I did not have a lot to do.
I was responsible for my own code and keeping track of my work.
I learned more about software engineering in the industry. Knowledge about the current technology stacks of companies will be helpful in future roles. I also learned more about finance during my internship, which might be helpful in the future as well.
The Company
The office was a very nice and open space, where everyone was friendly and approachable at all times.
In the first week I would have liked to have some sort of technology on-boarding.
The company offers several training and development courses and is very invested in helping you improve.

I think Visa as a whole is a good company. It will be interesting to see how it evolves with more disruption in the banking and payments industry.
The Culture
I had a good time working with the other interns.
Cheaper than London.
I went to a pub with colleagues once or twice. But did not stay out late, since I had to catch my train back home.
I was able to play tennis with other colleagues and there is a variety of offerings.
