  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the vacation scheme. The graduate recruitment team were incredibly supportive. The work I was involved in was challenging and engaging.

    • I felt that I was a valued member of the team. I was given great opportunities across the two week scheme to contribute to significant matters.

    • Everyone I encountered at the firm was incredibly generous with their time and offered support throughout.

    • Alongside a greater knowledge of the law and its practical applications, I developed my soft skills, including presentation, communication and debate.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The scheme was run seamlessly and was well structured. Around our work within the practice groups, we attended an excellent programme of events, talks and activities.

    • The atmosphere was excellent. The social events were relaxed and enjoyable and the office environment was friendly and collaborative.

    • All the lawyers and non-lawyers I engaged with over the two weeks went the extra mile to help me develop my skills for the future.

    • I spent a considerable amount of time with trainees, associates and partners and I gained a great understanding of what a career in law actually entails.

    • The two weeks provided great insight into the culture of the firm. At the heart of the firm is a reliance on team work and collaboration.

    • It was incredibly valuable. Working closely with lawyers on a day-to-day basis has strengthened my ambition to work in a City firm.

    • There were excellent opportunities for networking. Members of the firm also reached out to me throughout the two weeks to arrange informal chats.

    • The opportunities were excellent. I met a great cross-section of the firm from a wide variety of departments.

    • Yes, I was particularly excited by the pro bono opportunities and sports clubs.
