About You
The insight day was enjoyable an extremely satisfying as it showed a little peak of what seems to be an amazing company. the potential for development and growth as well as the great support that is given by the staff already there. I enjoyed it so much I Immediately applied for an internship role with the company.
There was a period allotted for question and answering at the end of every session. although through the sessions we may have had questions to ask there was no problem pausing for a minute and listening to us it felt personalised and although we aren't apart of the company they treated us as if we were.
A lot of guidance was giving information and tips about the application process. the application process was then explained giving us a bit of working knowledge of how it works. As well if in need of help the email address to contact. Also, some advice on doing practice test before completing the real one.
My drive and motivation was just increased more by seeing all of what BDO had to offer. I am now even more fired up for what lies ahead for me in the accountancy world.
The Company
It was well structured with the timing of each session timed with the thought in mind for question and answer segment as knowing us the ones attending the insight day will have questions that would want to be answered.
The atmosphere was one of supportive personnel who just wanted for us to see the true nature of the business and encourage us to get on board for such a great opportunity. Although it was a place of business I still felt that relaxing atmosphere that was able to calm any nervousness I experienced.
It was explained by someone who recently started working there how a day to day would go which was very interesting. The way it was explained it felt as though I worked there already and was apart of the team. I now know exactly what to expect if I was to receive a full time role at BDO.
It just help secure in my mind that the a role in accountancy is what I want.
Everything Else
I was given a free bus pass back to the train station which I believe was very thoughtful of BDO.
At lunch there was a time for us to mingle with some of the employees and learn about the job.
Yes there was a mention of some of the activities.
I already have on my way home I told everyone how incredibly helpful it was.
