The Role
It was a poor experience, the job is just renting cars. They only car about you getting sales, the hours are crazy long and you wont have a work life balance.
The people you work with make such a big difference. Every branch was different, but my manager was quite selfish and she did not value the employees that much.
The assistant managers are the ones you will get along with better than the branch manager. The assistant managers will be patient and give you all the time you need, again this depends on the branch.
Everyday is busy, you have a quiet day once in a blue moon.
You are given responsibility, but they are not that important, the branch manager will know everything you are doing, but will make it out that what you are doing is crucial for the branch.
I did not learn anything from Enterprise, apart from patience. Waiting 12 months to get out of there is easier said than done!
The Company
It depended on the mood of the branch manager, if they were moody, the whole branch will be moody.
They have a book you need to complete by the end of the placement, but if you do not finish it they don't really care, they just say you can't come back as a graduate.
They pay for you to have a van training course, pay for a few dinners and that's pretty much it. They only invest in you if you are good at sales.
POOR!
The Culture
They have an intern of the year, for those that sell the best. When I say sells, I mean selling protection for the cars you rent.
It honestly depends on the area.
Pretty good
Not at all, you do not have a work life balance when it comes to working for Enterprise, working weekends and weekdays, doing 10hrs a day, say goodbye to your hobbies.
