About You
I really enjoyed the insights provided and the atmosphere was friendly and professional
There is a great rewarding system that you can access during the spring week by asking interesting questions and getting valuable knowledge.
The insight was conducted with professionalism and there was support at every single step
The skills can be applied to my degree to some extent, since my major is Computer Science and it requires more technicality
The Company
Very structured with a well defined agenda that guided us throughout the week
The atmosphere was amazing and it revealed the company’s values, speakers and staff putting them into practice
With regards to our personal development and training we had a speaker, Jake Meyer, from IDG, Barclays external partner, which gave us an insight into personality types. There were also group work exercises which exposed us to leadership, followership and partnership. The session overall was a good boost in self awareness
The insight provided us with shadowing sessions. This way we were exposed to the working environment and we got a real feeling of where the company touches in terms of values and projects. I saw the company’s values put into practice were evident and could be defined by respect, excellence, integrity, service and stewardship
The insight provided us with full exposure to the working environment and we were able to see Barclays’ values put into practice: respect, integrity, service, excellence and stewardship.
Previous to coming here I was really interested in finance and specifically banking since I am a big fan of movies such as The Big Short and Too Big to Fail, so I was already decided into following a career path in investment banking.
Everything Else
There were two amazing networking events which provided us with an opportunity to connect with different people form the business
The networking events provided us with an opportunity to connect with different people from different sectors of the business and they gave us an insight into what working at Barclays feels like
We had a few discussions about that and their after work activities
Definitely
