About You
The Spring week was very well organized. The presentations were relevant to the current situation of the bank and really insightful as to how the financial markets technology works. The workshadowing sessions were very helpful to understand what some specific people do at Barclays. Furthermore, the fact that Barclays provided really good accommodation and travel was also very helpful.
You really feel like they are investing on you and your future career. Everything from the really good speakers, to the very helpful workshadowing sessions, makes you feel like the week is really tailor made for people that want to learn about the bank. The people at Barclays were allways ready to help and answer any questions anyone might have.
The organizers were super helpful in providing us with really interesting presentations. Furthermore, they always helped us through every scheduled event.
We learn a lot of important skills and how to apply them to the technology sector of the banking environment.
The Company
Very well structured. The week as full of activities and there weren't any "dead times". Even though this can be quite straining, it really is a great way of learning about the banking world.
The Atmosphere was of collaboration and cooperation. Through group projects and group activities, everyone was interacting with the same goal in mind.
During the entire week, you really feel like there is a massive investment in each candidate. The people that come to talk at the events always had a lot of insight and information to give. Also, they pay for very good accommodation and travel expenses which really makes you feel like there is a huge investment behind the scenes.
Workshadowing sessions were super helpful to make you understand how the day to day work of a Barclays employee is.
Everything Else
Barclays pays for accommodation (when needed) and travel expenses. They also give you a weekly allowance that will surely cover any expenses during the week.
Very good networking events and opportunities in general.
