About You
Very informative! I've enjoyed learning a lot about how Barclays has been innovating in the tech industry. The only issue is that I felt that a lot of the talks about the financial industry were very full on and it was very difficult to keep up at times.
Barclays has really showed how they value all of their people and their customers. I felt extremely welcome during my time here.
All questions were welcome, which was very nice.
Learning more about the financial industry has really helped open up more doors for me for future career.
The Company
Really well structured!
Fun and focused, was a very good experience.
This spring week really helped me develop my financial knowledge as well as my team working skills.
Being able to shadow people really gave me a great idea of what it would be like to work as a developer for Barclays.
Learning about Barclays company alues during the Spring week was great for getting a really good idea of what they're like as a company. They showed that they really do care about their people, and are focused on keeping up with the changing world in a way that most other banks are currently not doing.
Very valuable. I came into the internship not knowing much about the financial industry at all, and this experience has not only made me more knowledgeable, but also I am now open to the idea of a career in the financial sector.
Everything Else
My travel to Glasgow from Edinburgh was paid for, however as I lived to close my accomodation was not. It still meant commuting for an hour and a half however so I ended up paying for a hotel while I was here. We also all receive £250 to cover overall costs for the week.
The networking event was very fun, and gave us a great chance to learn more about the different things that Barclays is doing; and what it is like to work there.

Learnt a lot about the different charity events that employees can get involved with, as well as the chance to travel.
Very fun and informative, and a great way to learn not only about Barclays but also the financial sector.
