About You
I had a really good time at Barclays spring week Glasgow. It was very well structured and we had a wide range of talks and activities each day. Really enjoyed shadowing different areas of the business and enjoyed talking to the grads and their experiences within barclays. A fantastic week overall.
I felt very valued throughout the entire week, all the staff that we got to talk had a clear interest in our questions and always aimed to give very informative answers.
Everybody we got to meet always aimed to answer any questions we had about their roles and what life is like at Barclays.
As it was an insight week we didn't get to work on any projects or large tasks. However we got to work on lots of different workshop talks that helped personal development and gain insight into various new technologies that the Bank are investing in.
The Company
Very well structured week. We were also given an app that had our agenda on it and we could ask questions to other members on the spring week.
We were all a bit nervous on the first day but after a few talks and workshops we all started to relax and everyone was very nice and friendly to everyone.
Lots of workshops that helped team building skills and personal development.
I have a much greater understanding of the different roles on offer at Barclays, the networking events really gain an insight into how a career at Barclays could look.
All of the talks given helped gain an understanding into the values that Barclays hold dear.
I am now definitely considering a career at Barclays. The talks helped show the wide range of tech opportunities available at Barclays and the culture at their offices.
Everything Else
£250 at the end of the week pluz expenses if you live a certain distance away
Many opportunities to network with different employees at Barclays. Including a networking evening and work shadowing sessions.
There was two networking events. A networking social event and a speed dating networking event with grads at Barclays.
Yeah a lot get involved in charity events that Barclays will help raise money for. Also heard about a game of thrones bet that was going on between various employees.
Yes, very well structured and organised with some fantastic activities that give an excellent insight into a career at Barclays.
