About You
I really enjoyed learning more about the company and all the different departments and projects that they work on. It was inspiring to be able to listen to and meet so many senior people. I feel the week was really well structured and informative - there was never a moment that left me bored. All the other interns that I met were easy to get along with and great fun to be around and work with.
Amy and Katie were both really friendly and approachable, and helped us get settled in and feel welcomed. All of the project managers and senior members that we met during networking events really gave a lot of their time and effort to speak to us and answer any of our quetions and give advice.
I really appreciated the time Amy and Katie took out to review our CVs and give us advice on how to improve them - I found this incredibly helpful and useful, and I know a number of other interns did too. All of the speakers were happy to take questions after their presentations too.
It helped me understand what kind of jobs are being done in FinTech, and helped me relate what I'm currently studying at university to the real world. I now have a better idea of what I may potentially want to be going into after university.
The Company
Events were well spaced out with a generous sprinkling of breaks in between, which were great for socialising more with everyone. Although there were some issues with the app, Amy and Kate made sure we always knew where we were going or where we had to be.
I can't really complain about the venues - the hotel was awesome, and so were the views. The people were great company too, and that really helped make the experience as enjoyable as it was. The general atmosphere was professional but relaxed - definitely not what I was expecting, but in the best way possible.
