Spring week intern Review

The people I have met during the week and the insights from graduates during the work shadowing hours have been the highlights of my placement without any doubt. I have met like minded individuals, and all the seniors and graduates from Barclays have always been very keen on giving us advice and answering questions.

As I have said, the best thing for me during this week has been the people: my peers, Amy and Katie as programme managers, and all the people from Barclays I have had to meet. They are all very open to collaborate with each other, and help each other grow.

I feel like all the sessions we received at the beginning on what we wanted to do during the week were very useful to take the maximum profit from the spring week. Any question I had during the days, it was very easy to reach out to Amy and Katie. The networking tips were very useful.

I received a lot of valuable information during the week, mainly talking to graduates and seniors from Barclays. They shared their path, their roles and their day to day tasks, which was very useful to feel the working culture at Barclays. Some other things as the CV workshop and interview workshop I had already done before, but I think they are essential for people who have never had one. Leadership skills was amazing and we had a lot of fun.

I think we had a very good overview of all the different roles in technology. The only thing I would say is, we didn't have almost any talk from risk management and the more financial side of technology, which could have been interesting. For the rest, I think the structure was very good.

Amazing. People were willing to build relationships with each other. I have made such good friends. Amy and Katie have been very amiable and all the graduates and seniors have been very helpful and willing to answer questions.

there were a lot of information and training sessions that were very useful and that helped me develop new skills. I personally think the company invested a lot in us and our skills developpement.

the work shadowing was very useful in this regard. It was very good to be able to feel the working atmosphere.

The values were posted everywhere and everyone preaches them, so they were evident as soon as I entered the office.

very helpful, though I would have enjoyed a bit more information about risk and the more financial side of technology.
