    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • All of the tasks were team based, the conversations with other interns and graduates made the week very enjoyable. There was a very friendly and social environment. Additionally, travelling into work each day was a new and interesting experience.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • Barclays seemed genuinely interested in our views and opinions on how the company was run. The wanted to know What out views were on the company and if we had any ideas for improvement.

    • We were given lots of support in making our choice in which area to apply for. It was particular useful shadowing graduates and learning about their experiences.

    • The insight week isn't directly related to my area of study however it will help me to make a more informed job choice.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The insight week was very well structured. The events were well-timed and we were given lots of information during the week.

    • The atmosphere was very friendly. At no point did I feel overly stressed or pressured.

    • They invested a lot in terms of training, the week helped to develop a more informed decision on which career path is best suited for me.

    • We got a good insight into what the job role would entail however I won't know properly until I experience the role for myself.

    • I got a good understanding of the company culture from graduates and more senior employees

    • It was helpful although I need a longer internship to gain further understanding.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • I was paid and reimbursed for my travel expenses. Lunch was also provided everyday.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Lots of opportunities for networking with graduates. Evening socials would be appreciated for further networking opportunities.

    • Yes there seem to be many activities outside of work for graduates

    • I would definitely recommend to a friend. Especially for people who are unsure about which area they want to work in
