About You
I enjoyed the insight day as it was an experience to be able to network with new people and also learn new things that would benefit me in the future.
I gelt valued especially in my team because we came together as a team and really got each other involved.
Everyone was really supportive and every question that we had was answered willingly.
I waa able to develop my team buidling skills further, which will really be crucial in the career stage of my life as I will constantly be in a team.
The Company
It was well structured and everything that was said woyld be done was done..
You could tell that eveyone was excited to be there and learn something that would be crucial for their future.
In terms of investing in me , I would say that the company/ firm invested their time in making sure that they day went as smoothly as possible and time was well managed; the company also made sure that all students had refreshments, snacks and lunch to ensure we had a lot of energy throughout the day.
The insight day helped me to understand a lot about what it would be like because of the graduate student panel session, where each graduate stated how their usual day would go and the flexibility that they had. It also helped me understand how I could potentially see my self at the company.
The insight helped me in understanding the company culture, because i learnt that at M&G Prudential you are given the freedom to choose when your work is done, as long as it is done before the deadline and to a good amount; and everyone is really supportive and ready to answer any questions that you may have.
The content of the day in helping you to decide on your future career path was valuable because I learnt new tips for preparing for video interview, face to face interviews and even the assessment centre part. i also learnt about the different schemes that are offered such as summer internships during the 2nd year of university.
Everything Else
Yes there were opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company, we were able to get all out queries answered. However it would have been even better the room had been bigger because at times, it got harder to hear the person that we were trying to network with.
The networking opportunities went quite well because all our queries were addressed, it would have been even better the room had been bigger because at times, it got harder to hear the person that we were trying to network with.
Yes, there were multiple activities that employees can get involved in outside of work, such as : dragonboat racing, team outings and other activities.
Yes I would recommend this insight to a friend, so that they would be a able to see for themselves whether M&G Prudential would be a potential career destination in their future.
