About You
Very insightful; through the week we received talks from many different training cycles in Operations. Some of these were lesser known and it was interesting learning about the back end of the bank.
Everyone was very welcoming and encouraged us to ask as many questions as possible during talks. We also received a personal development course which was interesting.
A lot of advice was given during the talks especially because the speakers were happy to answer any questions.
We received a healthy amount of information of the future of banking and the future of Barclays. This will probably help when thinking about what roles to apply for in the future.
The Company
The diary was easy to access through the app. It was often updated if there were any change and they allowed for some flexibility through the week.
The whole week was very welcoming and relaxed there wasn't too much pressure.
There was a personal development session where we learnt about our personality types in the work place.
Gained exposure to various roles and seniorities through the program and how their roles differ day-to-day.
Lots of colleagues spoke about the culture and we had a whole session understanding the core values.
We got a good insight into what each role consists of and the skills required.
Everything Else
Paid and reimbursed for travel. We were also given credit for breakfast and lunch.
There was a networking session 1/2 way through the week.
There was one networking session where colleges from Operations attended.
Through the talks and the networking event we heard a lot about culture and external initiatives.
Yes, very insightful, especially in the lesser known areas of banking.
