About You
I really enjoyed the transparency of the company on the insight, as they were honest about the day-to-day life and I could see that the employees lived their values rather than just spoke of them.
I felt really valued, as they weren't just here to teach us but to also listen to our input and evaluate what impact we could bring to them through the program.
There is constant guidance, and at any time of doubt or concern there is always someone to answer your questions or help you find a solution.
I have learnt the invaluable skill of corporate experience, which you don't achieve in the education system. I also learnt the importance of adaptability and innovation within the financial sector and services as a whole. I will be sure to consider these avenues of evaluation in my Economics studies too.
The Company
It was well structured, integrating an easy to use app. However some events had to be reschedules due to unforeseen circumstances and poor conference call technology.
Excellent, warm and welcoming.
They spent a lot of time helping us understand our personality type and how it will work in the workplace, but in the activities there was no individual feedback.
Fantastic in this respect.
It helped me realise they are true to their values and vision, and the culture has kept employees here for extremely long tenures.
It helped me realise banking is definitely an interest of mine, whereas I was unsure beforehand.
Everything Else
Yes we had a networking evening.
good, but much more interns than employees.
no I didn't
Yes, it is a great opportunity to learn about yourself and Barclays
