About You
The information I received will most definitely act as even more motivation to succeed in my degree, and the experience as a whole gave me a unique insight into the banking sector.
The Company
Barclays is very big on culture and their values are well advertised throughout the building. They don't just have them for the sake of it, the values are very much embedded in all of the employees day to day jobs and you can definitely feel it as you walk around.
It has persuaded me to give the financial sector (in particular banking) a chance, as there were many misconceptions about the sector that were debunked through the week.
Everything Else
They also reimbursed travel costs and provided accommodation to those who needed it.
There was a 2 hour networking event on Wednesday evening in which we all got to meet several employees from each of the functions.
