About You
The spring week has valuable insights to the banking industry that has shown me the functions of a bank, both in the middle and back office. The chance to interact with senior members of the bank along with shadowing sessions with recent graduates has provided me a complete overview of what working for Barclays is like
Throughout the week I felt valued by other interns as well as all members of Barclays
There were tremendous amount of support and guidance during the insight.
Being an economics student, having practical insights of the functioning of a bank would allow me to always reference the complexity and amount of effort requires to run the largest EU bank. This could potentially help me shape my career in the financial industry
The Company
Very well
I thought it would be relatively competitive given the prestigious opportunity to convert into a summer internship. However it was not the case, interns were very polite and are willing to offer help
barclays has organised 7 insight sessions hosted by senior members as well as graduates, where they take time out of their day to come and speak to us
Very much so, being able to shadow and observe what environment of my division of choice has help me shapes what working full time would look like
