Spring Intern Review

I found this insight very good, I have learnt so much just in 5 days from listening to the different employees and I also got an insight into the different opportunites available for me. I felt very valued during my time here at a Barclays. All the workers were very helpful and were more than happy to provide you with loads of information which made me feel valued.

The App was also very helpful in keeping us updated with any information.

I feel I really improved on my communication skills this week as well as team work skills. Working on the project was very helpful in improving my skills and the presentation preparing has really improved my public speaking.

The insight was structured very well, with a variety of insight and activities which made the experience enjoyable. All the talks were very informative and the project group work and other group worl activities made the week fun.

I felt they invested a lot of their time into allowing me develop myself further through the different group work activities which really improved my skills . They also provided us with a leadership and followship session which really taught us how to be a good team memeber and made me see what personality I have in a team.

It helped me a lot as we had a lot of different workers come speak to us about their roles and day-to-day acitives which gave me a great insight into what it would be like working for Barclays full time. All employees seem very happy working with Barclays which made me feel really motivated about getting a job here at Barclays.

They did a great job as all employees really helped us to understand their culture and value which are integrity, stewardship, excellence, service and respect. These valued were clearly visible throughout the week. The employees clearly highlighted the values in all their speeches which really showed that this company is great to work for.

It was very valuable. It made me realize what areas I would be interested it and what role I think I would enjoy the most. It also made me realize that you can go into different routes as there are so many opportunities at Barclays. After the week I realized that I would be interested in the developer role and now I feel motivated to work hard towards my goal.

The company kindly reimbursed all my travel costs as well as paying me for me time here and also accommodating me with a hotel for the week.

Yes there was a lot of opportunities to network and meeting the employees of the company. We had an networking event on Wednesday evening which allowed us to have conversations with the employees and talk about their life at Barclays in more detail. We also had a speed networking session which allowed us to meet more employees with more roles.

They were great as I got to make a lot of connections and talk to them about their careers and listen to their advice. They have provided me with interview advice as well as information about thei everyday roles. It has also allowed me to widen me network on LinkedIn with some great people.

Yes the employees spoke to us about all the different clubs that they can get involved here at Barclays. The campus has tennis court, pitches and gym which allows workers to keep active during their breaks and after work which is really convinient. There also different groups here at Barclays that employees can get involved in.

Yes I would most definitely recommend this Spring Week to a friend or anyone who is interested in Technology or any business banking area. This insight allowed us to see that even if you don’t have a Technology background you can still get a role that will be suitable for you which I think is amazing
