About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight, from all the work showcases, presentations, networking and work-shadowing they were all very beneficial and effective in giving me an in-depth understanding of the different roles and areas operating here in Radbroke, Barclays.
I felt like I was very valued, Barclays ensured I understood and absorbed the information in the mots effective and varied way. With introducing so many different ways one can understand the operations here.Additionally, Barclays also provided accommodation, food and transport, that showed the extent which they went to ensure our comfortability.
I received a lot of guidance and support during this insight, through having two members of the resourcing team being by our sides the whole time and many friendly staff wiling to answer any questions we have about Barclays.
I learnt , good analytically skills through asking questions about the Business Analyst role and how they assess business information, moreover I also gained confidence and presentational skills, which will be useful for my degree as we do many presentations and debates.
The Company
The insight was very well structured, with jam packed days, having different activities continuously throughout the days with lunches and breaks, there was never a time I was bored or had noting to do. Additionally, it was managed very well In terms of time.
There general atmosphere during my insight was very calm and relaxed. Which allowed me to feel comfortable and confident, everyone was also very friendly and encouraging so this allowed for a very inviting atmosphere.
I believe that the company invested a lot, it felt like there wasn't anything the company wasn't willing to do, we got to speak to a large amount of varied staff, through networking, therefore we had the chance to work on our confidence and networking skills. We had insights for us to get an better understanding of the business overall and give us an indication of what we may roughly want to go down. We also had group projects, which allowed us to work on our presentational skills and public speaking skills. The company also invested in our capabilities of working a group effectively.
I got a very good insight in what it would be like to have a full time role with Barclays as we did work shadowing, so I got a real feel and sense of how it'd feel working here on a day to day basis.
It helped massively as we had tours of the campus and was given plenty of opportunities to ask employees of what it is like working here. Moreover we was given a speech by the CIO of the whole site about what it feels like to work here at Radbroke, Barclays.
It was very valuable as each day I was taught something new, so I had the chance to really see what interests me the most, additionally we also always had the opportunity to speak to employees in different job roles, to give us an indication of what route we'd like to go down.
Everything Else
I believe I was and i believe this is evidence of the. extent to which Barclays invests in its employees and how much they care about those working for them.
Yes, there were many opportunities, everyday we was given the opportunity to network, also within different areas and roles also outside the company and outside the internship hours.
The networking events were very well planned and informative, from the locations to the employees as we had the chance to talk to different areas, different levels and job roles. For example, mangers, coders and different areas like cyber security and then digital banking.
Yes, I did, we had talks about this and even a tour of the gym, football pitches, break out areas, which was very informative.
Yes, I would , it was an amazing experience , one of the most informative ones I've ever experienced, whilst given the opportunity to work on my personal training, therefore this whole experience was very beneficial and I would recommended.
