About You
I really enjoyed my insight at Savills. it helped put my learning from lectures into practice in the real world. I was out of the office multiple times and it confirmed my ambition to work in property. all of the staff were very nice to me and I have had a great time.
I felt very valued on my placement. I helped with very important research that will be used in reports for clients. I used Costar and other software to assist with due diligence. I felt like I was treated with respect and was not taken advantage as the fresh face in the office, for example always doing coffee runs
I received lots of guidance and assistance during my week at Savills. My mentor was very kind to me and helped to explain what I was doing and how it relates to reports and projects. I felt comfortable asking questions and seeking support from colleagues. it was a great experience
the work I did in my week here showed me that the things I am learning at university are used in the real world for professional practise. this week will help to show future employers that I have experience in the industry at a well renowned firm. the work I was doing in this week will help me with university works as I know that it is how real industry workers do it
The Company
On the whole I felt that the week was well structured. I liked the idea of the GoToMeeting events however I felt like they could have been better timed. the planning and development talks on Wednesday were poorly timed and should have been scheduled for earlier in the day. most of the office had left by them and I was loosing concentration
the atmosphere was great. I really liked working in the office with my colleagues who were all nice to me and understanding. The drinks on Thursday allowed me to get a better feeling for the office from having informal chats with the graduates and understand the best way to approach applications for placement and grad schemes
