About You
I have thoroughly enjoyed the placement , it has been a great experience and insight into life at Savills. Moreover, I have had the opportunity to work on real projects , and contribute to real reports. Working with a current graduate has been really useful , he has provided me with advice on my CV , and working towards my APC .
Throughout the placement , I feel like I have been able to contribute to various tasks and projects that the team have been working on .Through doing so , I have felt that my small contributions , have been useful and valued by the team and helped in producing the final reports.
My graduate , has been extremely patient with me . And has taken time out to provide detail instruction and support before giving me a task. He has also made the effort to take me out the office to show me the properties we had been working on . Furthermore , my graduate has helped in improving my CV and provided me with insight in what it is like to be a graduate and what it takes to be successful .
The insight week , has provided me with the opportunity to put what I have learnt at university , into practice , In particular comparable evidence . I have also gained knowledge and skills , that will help with future modules at university . The nature of the programme has also helped in providing us with the right skills , to prepare us for applying to the graduate programme and our future careers.
The Company
Excellent . We have had various from different business functions and departments . Giving us insight into the different opportunity's available at Savills ad career paths . There has also been a strong emphasis on the social aspect, through networking events . This has been really important, as its a key skill within the property business and the Savills ethos.
The office has a great balance between a strong work ethic , and a friendly environment . There is strong cohesion and communication between the teams , and everyone is really friendly and willing to help. Again , this really transpires with the Savills ethos . Everyone , I have met has been very inviting .
The company provided many opportunities, to develop our knowledge and skills. We were given the opportunity to network with senior members of the business. In addition , we were given presentations by different parts of the business and on the APC process. Our graduates, were more than willing to answer any questions we had.
Through shadowing a graduate , we were able to experience first hand, what our role in the company would be like as a graduate surveyor. We were given actual work to do , and were taken on site visits . we were given independence to get on with our work. In that regard , the insight was similar to having a full time role at Savills.
The company culture , was prominent throughout the placement . Reflected , in the networking events that were put on. The high levels of professionalism, that were shown buy all members of the business , reflected the companies ethics . A strong emphasis was put on the importance of building relationships with clients and colleagues alike . We had the opportunity to do this through the networking lunches and drinks.
Very valuable . It was great to apply what we having been learning at university, to real work. The insight programme , also played out the different pathways available to us. It cemented my future career plan , and the routes I can take to achieve it. We were given presentations on the APC process , CV writing and interview skills.
