About You
Throughout the scheme, there has been series of talks on the departments of the firm and some particular sectors the firm specialises in, which were incredibly informative and useful. Also, along the way, I have received so much support from my trainee buddies, supervisors and everyone else. It has been a really supportive experience.
Research skills Articulation skills Organisation & Management skills Presentation skills ...etc. & Information on the legal industry, the particularities of different departments/practice areas, business side of a law firm
The Company
The structure of the scheme was really well thought-out, organisers took into consideration a range of factors that would render the activities in the scheme effective.
The atmosphere was incredibly friendly, supportive, engaging and intellectual.
The firm invested a lot in terms of personal training and development, not only do we have a series of talks and workshops (which talks about not only legal work but other aspects, e.g. innovation/business development), the continuing guidance and mentoring of supervisors, buddies and many other fee-earners have been incredible.
To a large extent, I was assigned a contentious seat and a transactional seat for my two weeks in here, allowing me to experience a broad overview of the full spectrum of the firm's work
Everything Else
There were many opportunities for schemers to meet new people, engage with them or work on a matter with them. They were very welcoming and engaging.
