About You
I thoroughly enjoyed my week here, I felt like I was part of the team and everyone really went out of their way to make my week as interesting and varied as possible so I could see all aspects of it.
I felt very valued here, they would always involve me in conversation and ask about me. Also I was given real life tasks to do which made me feel like part of the team. As well as this I would be taken on site visits and everything we were doing would be explained in detail to me.
I had so much guidance, before every task I was set I would be sat down and they would go through what I'm supposed to be doing and why I have got to do that, with them taking valuable time out of their day. I would then be set one to do for myself, which I would send back to them and then receive feedback from them on how I had done.
The skills I have learnt are all ones which I will need later once I have finished at university. Therefore these skills are extremely important.
The Company
The week was planned out thoroughly, with events for everyone on the programme to get to know each other, as well as being able to meet grads and directors within the company which all facilitates your networking. The talks throughout the week also helped you get an idea of what the different departments do, allowing you to work out which sparked your interest.
The atmosphere was always good, everyone was always willing to help and have a laugh, as well as taking the work seriously and getting it done. Was overall a great experience.
They invested a lot of time into us, with the department talks, to the meet and greets, to the drinks with grads. It all made us feel very welcome and as if they valued and wanted us to be here.
I was given tasks that other people were doing or would have done if I had not, which meant it applied to the true tasks. Also being in the room with everyone working made me understand what everyones days are like.
It massively made me understand the company has a great culture, the fact that so many people have been here for such a long time also proves this.
Very valuable, it solidifies the fact that this is what I want to go into and has helped me decide what areas of property I am more interested in than others
Everything Else
I was reimbursed for some expensives, although they provided a lot of food and drinks for us throughout the week
Yes, so many opportunities throughout the week, which proved how important networking is within this industry
Obviously nerve racking, but they were extremely useful and everyone was so friendly.
yes I found out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work
definitely, it was an excellent, well thought through week that has provided me with opportunities and knowledge that will hopefully facilitate me in the future.
