About You
The insight was very well run, with lots of networking opportunities with enthusiastic members of staff. The programme ensured that I was well cared for and kept busy at all times. The material was engaging and really helped me to decide upon my future career direction, and what I would have to do to get there.
Every member of staff I encountered seemed genuinely interested and open to conversation about either their career or my current life, and to give useful advice from a career or life standpoint. They provided the facilities for me to travel from Scotland, making me feel like I was wanted at the programme.
All of the speakers were all knowledgeable about EY and answered the questions well. Members of staff individually provided guidance with regards to how to advance my career to EY. I was given the chance to speak to very senior members of staff, and give me good oversight into company life.
The networking skills I was allowed to develop and enhance were key to life beyond my degree, and some of the friendships made Will extent to university life and beyond. I’ve made fantastic friendships as well as professional connections, and look forward to seeing how those develop in the future.
The Company
Fantastically organised, with the programme running to a strict schedule at all times, and not running over. There were plenty of opportunities to take rest breaks as well as time for networking as well as a well organised yet informal social time to further develop the friendships I had made during the day.
Engaging and fun staff who genuinely seemed to enjoy their time working at the company, and were keen to showcase how the company cared for not just the professional development but the well-being of the employees. These things combined together to create a fun yet driven working environment at all times.
They paid for my flights from Edinburgh and allocated me a hotel room for the entirety of the conference. This made me feel especially wanted by the company, and was a pleasant experience.
The many networking opportunities with staff at all levels across all of the service lines gave a wide variety of opinions. The staff spoke genuinely and with passion about their roles and experiences both from a career and personal development perspective.
As above.
This experience cemented the service line and subline that I believe would be my best career path moving forward. Furthermore the experience of getting to know EY as a firm allowed me to conclude that it was a firm I fully believe I would fit in well with and as such allowed me to decide upon where I would like to work also.
Everything Else
There was plentiful discussion with employees of all levels about the opportunities for outside activities, from charitable work to informal events.
Fully.
