About You
I really enjoyed this insight, the first hand experience is something that I appreciated the most as well as an insight into various divisions. I learnt so much in such a short period of time.
The company makes a real effort to care for all their employees and this really comes across when interacting with people from the firm, there is a real emphasis and focus on the people and culture and ensuring that it remains this way.
Every person I came in to contact with was more than willing to help, from HR to MDs.
The skills I developed as well as the experience will definitely help me in the future in terms of progressing with my career as well as helping me in similar situations in the future.
The Company
The insight week was very well-structured with a range of activities planned from networking drinks and dinner to the opportunity to work shadow in different divisions.
The atmosphere was amazing, the culture at the firm really stands out and the other spring interns also showed similar personalities to those already at the firm.
There were many different workshops which focused on developing skills such as speaking confidently to present well as well as how to work effectively in teams which are all skills that are necessary in various roles so these will definitely be useful to everyone in the future.
To a large extent. There was the opportunity to meet people within various roles and of various seniority within different divisions and everyone was more than happy to answer all questions honestly.
This was a very large focus which came up multiple times throughout the week.
I learned so much about different divisions and it became clearer what type of work I preferred and where my personality would be potentially better suited.
Everything Else
There were networking drinks, a business careers fair as well as a networking dinner. In terms of meeting other employees of the firm, we were constantly meeting new people.
