About You
100%. I love the desk shadowing part the most. It gave me a real exposure to the daily life of a banker. Everyone in my team was very helpful and arranged a lot of networking coffee for me.
100%. At Citi, Spring interns are treated as a formal intern and we had access to a lot of meetings and resources.
100%. The HR team gave us appropriate flexibility to explore the bank but always would be there whenever we need help. The buddy system is also very beneficial. Each intern was assigned to an analyst in their chosen division. My buddy was very nice and helped me a lot during the week.
My understanding of the bank system has been highly improved.
The Company
It is very well structured because of the good balance between workshops and work shadowing. I love the structure of the program because it is very flexible, which gave us a lot of freedom to talk to people in the bank and work with the assigned team.
The general atmosphere is very open! Everyone was there to help me and answer my questions. Whenever my buddy or I reached out to someone, the employee always made his/her time to have a coffee with me. I had a great impression on the people at Citi.
A lot! The most precious thing the company invested in me is their employees' time! I spent 4 days with my team on the desk.
The insight I got in Citi is unparalleled. This Spring program is like a one-week Summer program which let me do real work. I definitely grasp a feeling of working as a full-time role with Citi.
It helped a lot! Citi has a particularly friendly culture.
It helped me confirm my interest in Corporate Banking because of the good balance of technical skills and soft skills in this division.
Everything Else
Citi paid for hotel and flights and 70 pounds for food.
Yes, two networking events in the evening.
Great. One with senior bankers and one with junior bankers.
Yes! I had at least 10 coffee chat with employees from divisions across the bank.
Definitely! Highly recommend.
