  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I have absolutely loved the insight scheme. I felt that I really benefitted from the presentations and the interactive workshops.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • I felt very welcomed into the firm - all of the employees I meet were really friendly, approachable and helpful. I really appreciated the fact that the partners took time out of their busy schedules to speak to us and offer advice at the social event on the Monday evening.

    • The employees provided us with valuable guidance and advice during both the ADR and the corporate workshops.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I think that the information I received will be really useful during the application process for vacation schemes and training contracts. The workshop has improved my confidence and communication skills which are valuable during group work at university.

    • The insight scheme was very well structured and organised. We knew exactly what we would be doing during the day and how long each element of the workshop would last.

    • Very friendly atmosphere. I felt very comfortable and accepted by all of the partners, associates and trainees.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • The company invested a lot of time in ensuring that we were supported and were able to develop our soft skills and basic practical legal skills during the corporate and ADR workshops.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • The insight helped me to understand the life and type of work of a trainee solicitor within the firm since we had the opportunity of shadowing a trainee for the whole of the afternoon of the second day.

    • The scheme provided me with a valuable insight into the culture of the law firm and confirmed the firm’s focus on diversity and approachability.

    • The insight scheme has confirmed my desire to pursue a career in law.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • I will hopefully be reimbursed for travel expenses.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • There was a social event on the evening of the first day which was a great opportunity to network and meet employees.

    • Yes. We were told about sporting opportunities and additional facilities provided by the firm.

    • Yes. The organisation of the insight scheme was amazing and I felt very comfortable and accepted by all the members of the firm.
