First Year Workshop Review

I very much enjoyed my time with HSF. The firm representatives are super friendly, the work being done by the firm is very exciting and I got a much deeper understanding of the industry. Overall, this is an unforgettable and super well-organised insight scheme and gave us a deeper understanding of the firm.

I felt greatly respected at every moment at HSF. From partners to trainees to fellow participants, everyone is super friendly and nice. There is a lovely working atmoshpere throughout the two days. This made me understand the 'friendly atmosphere' of HSF and affirmed my determination to persue a career with HSF.

Offered a lot of useful advice with regards to the application to the firm. The partners, trainess and members of the graduate recruitment teams all gave us their insights on how to make a good application. In addition, there are presentations specifically designed to help us understand the application process of HSF.

Was introduced a number of new development of the law, which is super important for aspiring commercial lawyers. In addition to that, we learnt what are the skills that are highly-regarded in the profession. This is super important to us because I learnt how to develop those skills in my future studies.

The scheme was very well-structured and covered all main aspects of a legal career. We learnt not only the firm's culture, but also some legal technologies. In addition, we were given the oppportunity to network with the firm representatives. I felt every moment I spent at HSF is meaningful and I greatly enjoy it.

The firm firstly introduced us with the idea of ADR and general corporate practice. After that, we were being offered the chance to shadow a current trainee, which is my favourite part of the scheme because I got a real insight into the types of work that I trainee will do in a leading law firm like HSF.

I think the scheme structured in a extremely good way in helping us to understand all the work of commercial lawyers, which give us a really clear guidiance on the life of a trainee in a full time. In addition, we were given the chance to speak with firm representatives from all levels, which also help us to understand the firm better.

The scheme greatly help me understand the atmosphere of a leading commercial law firm like HSF. Through the scheme, I deeply felt the 'friendly atmosphere' and the 'inclusing culture' of the HSF. Also, we greatly experience the HSF culture of 'disputes' from a range of workshops such as 'advocacy presentation' and 'mediation workshop'.

Extremely valuable. The work just let me understand the all types of the work a commercial law firm do and the firm culture of HSF. This enhanced my ambition to work as a commercial solicitor after graduating and I had a much clear idea on the types of skill I need to develop in order to make that ambition.

The firm has reimbursed all the reasonable expense of the travelling.

We are given a number of opportunities to network with the current employees. Firstly, the networking starts with lunch and coffee with the firm representatives. In addition to that, we are also being taken to a rooftop bar to network with all levels of representatives from the firm. The firms' representatives are friendly and really easy to approach.

There are ample networking/ social event opportunities being offered by the firm.

We were introduced about the different clubs of HSF and I am greatly attracted by all the activities.

Definitely. The scheme gave me a superb understanding on the carreer with HSF and the carreer in commercial law, which made me sure that I would enjoy myself working there. In addition, I met so many friends during the scheme, which is another takeaway of me. Overall, it's a superb and unforgettable experience.
