Discover EY: Women in Business Review

I thoroughly enjoyed the Discover EY: Women in Business programme. Not only did I learn so much about EY and the work they do, yet I was also really inspired by the high performing females that we heard from.

Throughout the entirety of the programme, I felt extremely valued by EY. The employees were really welcoming, friendly and approachable at all times. Hearing about all of the work that the company are doing to promote diversity and inclusivity also reaffirmed just how much EY value each and every individual they work with.

I felt a lot of the guidance and support we received was through our exposure to the different divisions and support networks within EY. The guidance and support was really useful as it aimed to develop us both professionally and personally.

I learned so much speaking to people from different service lines and at different stages of their careers. With the valuable advice that I received, I feel in a much better position to make informed decisions about the career that I would love to pursue, especially after hearing about all of the opportunities available at EY.

The two days were split in in a really great way, with the first day serving as a really good introduction to what the company does, and the second focusing on the support EY provides, with a real emphasis on just how important their values are in all the work they do.

The atmosphere was excellent and I feel it was really reflective of the culture at EY. Everyone was really friendly and supportive - the atmosphere facilitated our learning and I felt really inspired after the two days of the programme.

EY really invested in our training and development throughout the programme. From the advice we received, to the insights that were provided to us of what its like to work at the company, to putting all which I had learned into practice at the end of the programme - it was made apparent that EY really care about helping us to achieve our potential both professionally and personally.

Having heard from individuals from different service lines and at different stages of their career really helped me to gain a better understanding of just what its like to work at the company. Value is not only placed on the work carried out by employees, yet on their personal growth too, with opportunities to get involved with networks such as EY Women's Network and to give back to the community through the EY Foundation

The company culture was made apparent at all moments throughout the programme. From interactions with the company employees themselves, to hearing directly from Diversity & Inclusiveness, EY Foundation and EY Women's Network, it was made clear to me that EY's values are at the forefront of all that they do

I learned a lot about Tax and Assurance that I did not know prior to the programme. This exposure has definitely assisted me in determining the direction in which I would like to take my career.

Yes - in addition to being able to approach speakers after their talks and sitting with recent graduates throughout the programme, we had a Speed Networking session which gave us the opportunity to meet and learn from EY employees

Really good! The Speed Networking gave us a good exposure to several roles within the company, within a short period of time. The social was also really fun, and allowed us to strengthen the friendships we had made throughout the first day.

Yes. Great importance was given to this, emphasising just how much EY value and care for the people who work for them.
