About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight program. I gain valuable information regarding the various business areas. The presenters came prepared and were really informative. I like how the program involved hands-on workshops which were really useful in gaining an introductory glimpse into the industry but at the same time staying casual.
I felt extremely valued. I had really interesting workshops which i believe had considerable amount of planning behind it. You get the sense that people really try their best to cater to everyone's needs and concerns. Small things such as the event coordinator remembering everyone's names also meant a lot to me.
Support is always available during the insight. My questions were always answered and difficult concepts were well explained. The people involved were fully aware that people come from a diverse range of academic backgrounds and that not everyone may understand the difficult terminally and acronyms that is so prevalent in the industry. Overall, I would say that they are very patient and really informative about the line of work here.
As someone who came from a non-typical academic background, I learnt how it can add value to the business by offering alternative perspectives and skillsets.
The Company
I like the balance between networking, hands on workshop and project work. For me, I feel that level of excitement was kept at a high level because of the variability of the program structure. With so much to do, I always felt motivated to network, ask questions and learn more about the industry.
Everyone is really friendly and supportive! I liked how the group was kept small and everyone got to know each other really well even though it was only 3 days long. I really appreciated how they manage to keep the sessions informative and resourceful but in a business casual environment.
