About You
I would say I enjoyed the insight a lot. There was a perfect balance between learning about the firm, getting to know employees and also others attending the insight.
I think there was a noticeable presence of respect for those attending with all staff I encountered and each question presented was taken very seriously, which made me feel like a valued presence at the insight.
We were supervised by a mentor between groups of around seven, and her support over the two days proved very helpful.
I’m studying a humanities subject that is unrelated to accounting, but the skills I learnt were often to do with how to work well in a team or think about oneself as a woman in a more positive way. I can see myself using these skills in the future.
The Company
I felt like the insight was very well structured and I always had a very clear idea of what was going on and what was happening next etc.
It was fun, friendly and overall felt like a very bubbly atmosphere.
Everyone who attended the spring insight is offered a fast track into many of the internship programmes that run next year.
The vast opportunities that were given to ask questions ensured that I got a very in depth understanding of what life at the firm would be like.
My knowledge of the firm, it’s mission statement and it’s ethos has all increased thanks to the programme.
I am far more aware of what departments within a firm such as EY would suit me better than others after the programme.
Everything Else
Any transport receipts are handed in on a form for which you are reimbursed.
There were plenty of these kinds of opportunities. The first day was mainly dedicated to activities that encouraged this.
They were very well structured and of an ideal length.
The second day was predominantly taken up by focusing on life within EY, but in a non-working capacity.
100%. I got so much out of the experience and couldn’t recommend it more to someone interested in the industry.
