    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Our office space is rather small and not the most interesting, but it obviously varies between roles/areas

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Our foundation team have done a great job throughout the year ensuring everything is run smoothly and we can turn to them if we ever need help

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • What you get out of the year depends on how much you put yourself out there. If you want to learn about different areas and broaden your skill set, you can easily do this.. But you have to push yourself out of your comfort zones to do these.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • As our location had only 20/30 other interns, there was a small scene but they were all really friendly and I live with a few of them which obviously makes it all a lot more enjoyable.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Our rent was quite high considering the house and location... But everywhere else is fairly priced.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Around our work place there is not much, but about 10/15 minutes away is our home which is very near a lot of pubs and clubs.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • IBM offer a lot of Giveback opportunitie to help develop your skills outside of your daily role. These were always really fun and rewarding.
