The Role
I really enjoyed the placement. Everyone was very friendly and supportive.
I felt very comfortable with the team very quickly. At the end of my placement one of the team even commented that they couldn't believe I had only been there a week because I had fit in so well.
I was given a lot of support when needed and left to myself when appropriate which was a perfect balance.
Very good balance of work. I was never too busy or too quiet and was given the opportunity to get involved with "real" work. I did placements with other firms and liked that Shoosmiths gave you a placement work folder as well do you always had something to do. The presentation at the end also gave you an opportunity to impress.
Enough to fit my level of experience.
The Company
A bit quiet at times but I was there during a very busy period so everyone was working very hard.
Very good. The vacation scheme work folder and presentation at the end were a great idea.
The Culture
Good. It was nice to be taken to lunch by current trainees.
Average. Not quite London prices but not cheap either.
Didn't sample the nightlife as I commuted from home.
