About You
The insight week helped me understand what the financial sector really was. I could ask questions to professionals who have been working for years in their division and I could then understand what fit me the most. I met with incredible people from all around the world with different backgrounds and ambitions.
The company and the people were genuinely interested in me and my interest for the financial sector. We were encouraged to ask and speak our mind.
I developed many skills their: how to make a good presentation, how to catch the attention of an audience, how to give a good impression, how to be a team player. But I also learn technical knowledge about finance.
The Company
It was well structured. We had a timetable from day 1 and every day was focusing on a precise topic.
Everyone was comfortable, there was no pressure.
As for the training, they are conferences for us to understand the financial sector, we also learn a lot during study cases or interactive games and can ask as much questions as we want. For the development, they taught us how to grow more confident and interact with people in order to build our network.
We have the opportunity to choose the division that we want to explore and to spend the day with professionals to see if this division would be the right fit for us.
I met with many people from the company through the days, networking events and diners. At the end of the week I could understand the culture of the company as I the reasons why people would want to work there and stay, I could understand what really mattered for the bank.
I could choose to explore divisions, I did study cases, interactive game, visited different locations, shadowed professionals, went to networking events in order to see if it was the right fit.
Everything Else
Everyday I would meet with people from the bank.
They were many activities available (sport, voluntary work etc.) and many networks.
I certainly would: it help me grow my network, meet with passionate people that had a lot of experiences to share, understand what is really the financial sector, experiment with different divisions to find the right fit.
